Aarambh — Privacy Policy

What Aarambh stores about you, who else sees it, and how to get rid of it.

Effective 15 September 2026 · Applies to aarambh.saravonix.com and the Aarambh app

This policy covers Aarambh specifically. Saravonix Technologies Private Limited also publishes a company privacy policy covering its website and enterprise work. Where the two differ about Aarambh, this one applies.

1. Who we are

Aarambh is run by Saravonix Technologies Private Limited, incorporated in Coimbatore, India. We are the data fiduciary for the information described here.

Privacy questions and requests: privacy@saravonix.com. That address is also our Grievance Officer contact under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

2. What we store, and why

WhatWhy
Your email address, and your name if you give oneTo create your account, sign you in, and email you about your account
A password, stored only as a one-way hash — or, if you use Google, your Google account identifierTo sign you in. We never store your password itself, and never see your Google password
Your study plan: exam, start and exam dates, hours a day, rest days, the order of papers and chapters, and which chapters you have finishedThis is the product. Without it there is no plan
What you log: hours and pages studied each day, and any note you addTo track your progress and adjust the plan when you fall behind
Preferences: theme, language, reminder time and time zoneTo keep the app the way you set it
Sign-in sessions: a hashed token, your browser's user-agent string, and the IP address it connected fromTo keep you signed in, and to let you see and end sessions you do not recognise
Feedback and ratings you send us, with your email and app versionTo read it, reply if needed, and fix what you tell us about
A referral code, and which accounts joined through itOnly so we can tell you how many people you brought
Push notification subscription, if you turn reminders onTo send the daily reminder you asked for
Billing details if you ever subscribe: payment reference, invoice number, amount, and the state you are inRequired to issue a valid GST invoice

We do not collect your card or bank details — those go straight to our payment provider and never reach us. We do not use advertising trackers, we do not run third-party analytics, and we do not sell or rent your information to anybody, for any purpose.

3. Google sign-in and Google Calendar

Signing in with Google

If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your Google account identifier, your email address, whether Google has verified it, and your name. We use these only to create and sign you into your Aarambh account. Signing in with Google is optional — an email and password works just as well.

Calendar

Aarambh can put your study plan into your own Google Calendar. This is optional and off by default, and you are asked for permission separately, at the moment you turn it on.

When you turn it on, Aarambh:

Aarambh never reads your existing calendars or events, never sees who you are meeting or when you are busy, and never touches an event it did not create. Nothing from your calendar is shown to anyone else.

Limited Use. Aarambh's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In plain terms: we use Google data only to provide the feature you asked for, we do not transfer it to others except as needed to run the service or where the law requires it, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not allow humans to read it except with your permission, for security, or where the law requires it.

You can withdraw Calendar access at any time in the app, or from your Google account permissions page. Doing so stops all further access immediately.

4. Who else your information reaches

We use a small number of service providers to run Aarambh. They process data on our instructions only, and none of them are permitted to use it for their own purposes.

ProviderWhat it does
RailwayRuns our servers and database — this is where your account and plan are stored
NetlifyServes the app to your browser
GoogleSign-in, and Calendar if you enable it
ResendSends account emails, such as verification and password reset
RazorpayTakes payment, if you ever subscribe
AnthropicPowers AI study features, once they are available and only if you use them. Where AI is used, we send it what is needed to answer — such as the chapter you are studying — and we tell you when a feature is AI-generated

Some of these providers operate outside India, so your information may be processed abroad.

5. How long we keep it

6. Deleting your account

Email privacy@saravonix.com from the address you signed up with, and we will delete your account and everything described above within 30 days, except invoices where the law requires us to keep them. We will confirm when it is done.

If you had enabled Calendar sync, deleting your account also ends our access to your Google account.

7. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to:

Write to privacy@saravonix.com. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Students under 18

Many people preparing for these exams are under 18. Indian law treats anyone under 18 as a child, and requires a parent or guardian's consent before their personal data is processed.

If you are under 18, please use Aarambh with your parent or guardian's permission. We do not knowingly create accounts for children without it. A parent or guardian can write to us at privacy@saravonix.com to see what we hold about their child, or to have it deleted, and we will act on it without question.

We do not show advertising to anyone, and we do not track or profile children.

9. Keeping it safe

No service can promise perfect security. If a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.

10. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top always shows the current version.
